I had a 10 year corporate career in London and Hong Kong whilst learning how to invest in businesses in my spare time, before a sudden and serious illness forced my re-introduction to yoga and accelerated my path to entrepreneurship (full story here). I went on to build a successful real estate business before turning my attention to the wellness industry.
I created The Present of Yoga because I discovered a desire from the yoga leaders of today and tomorrow to learn about specific skills and strategies to empower them to reach more people, more effectively. In my opening editorial I go into more detail on this.
I am a British-born Indian who has largely been guided in yoga by Westerners, I am spiritual but not religious, I care deeply about humanity and am simultaneously an entrepreneur and investor. I feel in these respects I reflect much of what the yoga universe has become in the present day.

Through my own journey to healing, I developed a deep appreciation for the wellness industry. I have worked for international brands such as lululemon athletica and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I cultivated a deeper knowledge and understanding of the healing powers of yoga and nutrition.
In the past decade, I have combined my passions for nutrition and yoga with my social media career, partnering with wellness startups in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, London, and beyond. I work one-on-one with health coaching clients, host social media workshops for wellness entrepreneurs and yoga studios, and lead yoga retreats in beautiful destinations such as Costa Rica.
I am thrilled to be an advisor for The Present of Yoga because it’s a powerful opportunity to create a platform that will connect the yoga industry on an international level, reaching a wider audience to share the immense gifts of this ancient discipline.

Following my degree in Philosophy, during which I also studied Indian philosophy, I travelled the world before embarking on a career in recruitment. Having had an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age this led to setting up a financial headhunting business in 2007, which I still run today.
I jumped at the chance to become involved in The Present of Yoga as I had worked with Niraj in the past and have a profound interest in mental, philosophical and physical wellness. As someone new to the practice of yoga, I hope to bring the fresh perspectives that only a newcomer can provide.
